Refund and Return Policy

At Indian Art Palace, we are dedicated to providing you with exceptional products and a seamless shopping experience. Our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchase. However, in case you're not completely happy with your order, please review our Refund and Return Policy below.

Conditions for Order Cancellation

  • Before Shipment: You may cancel your order before it is shipped from our warehouse. Cancellations are subject to a 30% cancellation fee to cover payment gateway and service charges.
  • After Shipment: Once an order has been shipped, cancellations are not allowed. In exceptional cases, at Indian Art Palace's discretion, we may consider cancellations, but the customer will be responsible for both-way shipping charges.
  • Customised Orders: Orders for customized or personalized products cannot be cancelled after they are placed.
  • Sale or Discounted Items: Orders placed using discount codes or during sales are non-cancellable.
  • Product Delays: In some cases, products may be delayed. If the delay exceeds 180 days, no refund will be issued during this period.
  • Part Payment Orders: If you place a part-payment order and choose to cancel, the advance payment will be treated as cancellation charges.

Returns Policy

We accept returns only for defective, damaged, or incorrect products. Please read the following conditions carefully:

  • Defective or Damaged Products: If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic or video proof of the damage or defect. Our customer support team will guide you through the return process.
  • Unused Products: Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and with all tags and invoices intact. Ensure the return package is securely packed to prevent any further damage during shipping.
  • Sale/Discounted Items: Products purchased during a sale or with discount codes are non-returnable.
  • Transit Damage: In case of damage during transit, we offer a replacement but do not provide refunds for transit-damaged products.
  • Customised Products: Custom-made or personalized items are non-returnable.
  • Product Condition: We will not accept returns for products that are damaged after delivery or if the packaging has been tampered with.

If your return request is approved, we will arrange for a reverse pickup from your address (available in most locations). In areas where reverse pickup is not available, you may be required to self-ship the product to us.


Refund Process

  • Eligibility: Refunds are only processed for items that are returned in original condition, with all packaging, accessories, and documentation.

  • Refund Method: Refunds will be issued via the original payment method:

    • Credit/Debit Card: The refund will be credited back to the card used for the purchase.
    • Net Banking: The refund will be credited to the bank account used.
    • Gift Certificates/Vouchers: Refunds for orders paid using gift certificates or vouchers will be credited in the form of a new gift certificate of equal value.
    • Other Payment Methods: Refunds for orders paid through alternative methods will be made either via NEFT transfer or a cheque issued in the customer's name.
  • Refund Timeline: Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of receiving the returned product. Depending on the payment method, it may take additional time for the refund to reflect in your account.

  • Wallet Credits: If you used wallet credits to make your purchase, the refunded amount will be credited back to your wallet.


Exceptions to Return & Refund

Returns and refunds will not be accepted in the following cases:

  • Misuse or Improper Handling: If the product is damaged due to misuse, mishandling, or failure to follow product care instructions, it will not be eligible for return or refund.
  • Unreported Issues: If the damage or defect is not reported to us within 24 hours of delivery, the return request may be rejected.
  • Non-Warranty Issues: Any defect not covered by the manufacturer's warranty will not be eligible for return.
  • Missing Packaging: Products that are returned without their original packaging, accessories, or missing items (such as boxes, tags, etc.) will not be eligible for a return.

Process for Initiating a Return

If you wish to initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Email us at Contact@indianartpalace.com with the following details:

    • Order number
    • Product name and images/videos of the damage or defect (if applicable)
    • Reason for return
  2. Once your return request is approved, we will arrange for reverse pickup (where applicable). If reverse pickup is not available, you may need to self-ship the product back to us.


Important Notes

  • Transit Damage: If your product is damaged during transit, please send us images/videos within 24-48 hours of delivery to help us process the damage claim with our insurers. Any return requests made after 48 hours will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and the customer will be responsible for both-way shipping charges.
  • Refunds for Sale Items: No refunds will be processed for products purchased during sales or with discount codes.
  • Customised Products: Custom-made or personalized products are not eligible for return or refund.
